Pacific’s New Idea has launched a campaign to help drought-stricken Australians in partnership with charity Drought Angels.

Drought Angels supports Aussie farmers and their rural communities with food hampers, care packs, prepaid Visas, local store vouchers, stock feed and hay.

New Idea will donate five cents from every copy of the August 6 issue sold to Drought Angels. A number of stars have united to support the drought and will appear in the issue, including Bridie Carter, Shannon Noll, Grant Denyer, Kylie Gillies, Larry Emdur, Tom Williams and Sally Obermeder.

On August 11, the title will also lend its support to Dollars For Dust, an event to raise additional funds for drought relief. Home and Away stars including Ray Meagher, Ada Nicodemou, Lynne McGranger and Sophie Dillman will be in attendance. Former Home And Away star Stephen Peacocke will also be attending.

So many of our readers and the communities they live in are doing it tough right now and so we’ve joined forces with Drought Angels and some of our famous friends to make a difference in their lives.
